A CO-OP is a group of people united to meet their common economic needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise. It is a business organization owned and operated by a group of individuals for their mutual benefit. A CO-OP may also be defined as a business owned and controlled equally by the people who use its services or who work at it.

The Fort St. John CO-OP recognizes the importance of protecting our precious environment. Over the past several years a number of initiatives have been introduced to help reduce our impact. These include a wide variety of energy efficient building practices and recycling programs.
